The exhibition (UT)NYTTE illustrates the aforementioned transformation process and presents a symbolic metamorphosis "From Country Woman to Goddess."
The symbol of the circle evokes reflection on the life that unfolds between birth and death. A natural life cycle, in which we are born and die, is repeated every single day, from sunrise to sunset. In this life cycle, we grow and develop in strength, and through the rhythm of life, we create and experience reality.
A woman's strength lies in her power to create. Women can bring new life into the world, and when they support each other with positive energy, they are capable of creating almost infinite universes. However, there is also a risk that the irresponsible use of creative power can lead to destruction. Creation is closely tied to the pain of letting go of the old. Nonetheless, the interaction within the circle of women helps this process unfold as smoothly as possible, eventually bearing creative fruit.
The inspiration for creating the exhibition (UT)NYTTE came from the book written by Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak, titled "Country Women – The Story of Our Grandmothers." Another key contribution was drawn from the project creators' own family histories and personal experiences. As Monika and Walentyna retell important threads of their family’s past, they touch upon some of their grandmothers' experiences, while interpreting the role of women in a completely new way. Additionally, the project is enriched by the voices of women who have moved to Norway from other countries.

"The Monarch" – the workshop for spiritual development – connects art with personal growth. The primary goal of the creative processes within this project is to break down socio-cultural barriers and create a strong, supportive community that builds on the unique qualities of each individual while fostering a sense of harmonious togetherness. Both the artists and the recipients of the artworks created in the workshop awaken their own creativity and embark on a journey toward self-acceptance, gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
This year, the focus is on women and their position in the social hierarchy. How can we address gender discrimination and the challenges women face in navigating different social systems that limit their creative potential? What does the journey look like, from feeling unaccepted to discovering self-understanding, inner peace, harmony, courage, self-confidence, and empowerment? Can the creative process help discard false and negative prejudices while simultaneously building a new, authentic self-image? Participants in the WOMEN'S CIRCLE explore these questions through mutual support, sharing diverse perspectives, discoveries, and inspirations.
